CLI Installation

The OpenBits CLI lets you call APIs, manage skills, and check your balance from the terminal.

Install

npm install -g @openbits/cli

npx @openbits/cli --help

openbits login --key ob_live_YOUR_KEY

This stores your API key in ~/.openbits/config.json. To verify your authentication:

openbits whoami

The CLI stores its config at ~/.openbits/config.json:

For local development or self-hosted instances:

openbits --api-url http://localhost:3001 call echo/hello

All commands support --json for machine-readable output:

openbits balance --json

# Remove the CLI
npm uninstall -g @openbits/cli

# Remove stored config
rm -rf ~/.openbits

Clear stored credentials without uninstalling:

openbits logout
